Helping Vertical Farming become the Future
Industrial farming has proven to be a major contributor to the staggering growth of human population. However, all its conveniences come at the expense of the environment and its sustainability. As a result, alternative methods of farming have gained prominence as ways of curbing environmental impact by shifting agriculture to urban landscapes, using buildings to farm indoor vertically. This method of farming, developed at Columbia University by Dr. Dickson Despommier is soil-less, uses far less water, and provides light in the form of red and blue LEDs.
We want to help vertical farming become the future of agriculture, by making it as accessible and easy-to-use as possible.
